Calling All Ladies! Its a Birthday!

Rebekah Byrd is having a birthday! She invites all of you to join her here at church this coming Saturday morning (Mar. 14) at 8:00 a.m. by praying together at Morning Prayer (which lasts but 15 minutes). Then you all will head over to Mills River Restaurant for breakfast together. It would bring such joy to Rebekah’s heart for her Sisters in Christ to pray together, feast together, and fellowship together while celebrating her birthday with her. There is no need to RSVP. Just show up!

Christian Education—Lenten Season

  • Sunday school classes meet weekly during Lent at 9:45 a.m. Adult Sunday school is held in the parish hall. Children’s classes are in Simcox Hall.

  • The Tuesday morning Bible Study meets at 11:00 a.m. weekly in Simcox Hall. Please read chapter 3 of St. James’ Epistle for this week’s discussion.

  • Wednesday Night Holy Communion, fellowship meal, and Bible study (Book of Isaiah) gather weekly beginning at 6:00 p.m.

  • Both Bible Study classes will relate the scripture studied to our Lenten journey.

Let us pray for the help and mercy of God in this time of war

O ALMIGHTY Lord, who art a most strong tower to all them that put their trust in thee: Be now and evermore our defense; grant us victory, if it be thy will; look in pity upon the wounded and the prisoners; cheer the anxious; comfort the bereaved; succor the dying; have mercy on the fallen; and hasten the time when war shall cease in all the world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

LORD God of Hosts, stretch forth, we pray thee, thine almighty arm to strengthen and protect the soldiers, sailors, and airmen of our country; Support them in the day of battle, and in the time of peace keep them safe from all evil; endue them with courage and loyalty; and grant that in all things they may serve without reproach; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
