Independence Day Cookout

As we continue to celebrate 250 years of our nation’s Independence, our parish will gather for a cookout this coming Friday evening, July 3, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., at the Blackburn’s farm in Fletcher. We’ll enjoy good food, good fellowship, and good fun together.

Have grandkids visiting? Bring them along! We’ll have special activities and fun for the little ones.

Please RSVP by emailing Dss. Cynthia at cynthia@allsaintsmillsriver.org or calling her at the church (828-891-7216). When you RSVP please let us know the following:

  • How many are in your group?

  • Do you need a carpool ride?

  • Can you help carpool others?

Please respond as soon as possible so we can plan for food. Food and drink are being provided. BYOB if you are so inclined. Parking is limited at the Blackburns, so we are encouraging the carpooling. If you have any questions, contact Dss. Cynthia at church or call Allison at 828-606-9965. We look forward to see all of you there and we will have a fabulous time!

Carpooling

We will gather in the parking lot at 1151 Naples Rd, Fletcher, NC, at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This a parking lot directly across from the main entrance to Advent Hospital. By 5:15 p.m., we will have coordinated all the rides everyone needs and we will be following each other up the mountain to the Blackburns’ house. We will be able to shuttle folks back to the parking lot anytime they are ready during the evening.

Physical Address for the Blackburns

We understand that some of you may not be able to get to the carpooling lot by 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Their address is 887 Old Timey Place, Fletcher, NC and your GPS should take you there. Old Timey Place is off Hutch Mountain Road in Fletcher. There will be balloons marking the turn-off on Hutch Mountain Road onto Old Timey Place. Take Old Timey all the way up the mountain to the top! There are lots of squiggly turns on the way, so watch the markings!

We have also invited the parishes of our Deanery, which encompasses western NC, eastern, TN, and update SC. This will give us a chance to meet old friends, and new, who share our Anglican Way of Christianity.
