This Coming Sunday: Advent Lessons & Carols
The All Saints Choir proudly presents its annual Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols this coming Sunday, December 7, at 5:00 p.m. This special service was started in 1918 at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge England, and it is a retelling of the story of our redemption—from prophecy to fulfillment—through Holy Scripture and music. Please come out to support our All Saints Choir that night and bring a friend!
And as is always the case, immediately following Lessons & Carols, we hold our annual St. Nicholas Party. We have it on good authority that jolly old St. Nick will make a stop here on that Sunday, as he does every year to fill up those shoes with all sorts of goodies!
Angel Tree Gifts
Angel Tree gifts are due this coming Sunday, December 7. Please remember: Do not wrap the gifts. Merely attached the “ornament” to your gift and place it under the Angel Tree in church.
If you can help Dss. Cynthia sort the gifts on Monday morning, Dec. 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m., please let her know.
Advent Devotional
Every year, our Appalachian Deanery of churches publishes a series of devotionals for every day in the Advent season to help us prepare for the Coming of our Savior in His first Advent at Bethlehem, as well as his Coming as King of kings and Lord of lords in His Second Advent on the Day of the Lord.
Following are the links for the devotionals appointed for each day of this week.
Urgent Nursery Help Please
We are in serious need of a helper in the nursery this coming Sunday, December 7, during the 11:00 a.m. Holy Communion. Please contact Dss. Cynthia at the church office to let her know you can help. (828-891-7216)
