Dearly Beloved,

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for our area, beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Due to the significant snow accumulation forecast to arrive with this storm by Sunday morning, all Sunday worship and education classes are canceled for this coming Sunday, January 16, 2022.

In anticipation of this, I have arranged to remotely live-stream a worship opportunity at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. This service will be the Liturgy of the Word portion of our usual celebration of the Holy Communion. Once the sermon is delivered, we will close with a few of the prayers from Morning Prayer. This live-stream will last about 30 minutes. A bulletin will be posted on the live-stream page of our website at live.allsaintsmillsriver.org. Just have your prayer books handy! You can also reach this page by clicking on the Join Us Live button on the main page of our website.

Other than the website, you can also catch the live-stream on our other usual channels: Facebook & YouTube.

I pray all of you have a safe and lovely day Sunday and are able to enjoy all the snow due to arrive. Should any of you have any difficulty due to this event, please feel free to call me on my cell phone 828-620-0860. We will help in any way that we can.

One other important notice

The church office will be closed Monday-Wednesday this coming week, January 17-19. Deaconess Cynthia, Alice Owen, and I will be in Orlando, Florida for a parochial education meeting at St. Alban’s Cathedral. Please pray for our safe travels. That means, of course, that Tuesday and Wednesday Bible Study classes will not meet. Also, the Wednesday evening Holy Communion is canceled. Again, if you have any need for me or Dss. Cynthia, please call our cell phones and leave a message. We will return your call as soon as possible.

Down below you will find the usual weekly announcements. I look forward to seeing all of you when we return to church on Sunday, January 24.

Blessings,

Fr. Erich
