The Gospel lesson, during our celebration of the Holy Communion, is the story of the Widow of Nain, found in St. Luke’s Gospel. In the Gospel, it tells us that “when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her.” The sermon focuses on those words and the implications of it for our lives.
