Today we celebrate our Lord’s institution of the Sacrament of His Body and His Blood. The night ended with the stripping of the altar in recognition that this night is the night that our Lord was stripped of his earthly ministry, his family, his friends, and, on Good Friday, stripped of his own most precious life.
