Christmas Worship Schedule
(and some thank yous down below)
Christmas Eve, December 24
7 PM, Family Eucharist of Christmas
A Christmas celebration geared to our families with children. It is slightly shortened and the sermon is directed to the children.
11 PM, Festival Eucharist of Christmas at Midnight
This festival celebration is one that follows the injunction of Psalm 96 to “Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” Most of this service is sung by the congregation, choir and priest. (note: incense will be used at this service)
The Choir will be with us at both of these services on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day, December 25
10 AM, Holy Eucharist of Christmas Day
A simple celebration of the Holy Eucharist in which we sing some of the best loved hymns of Christmas.
All three of these worship opportunities will be live-streamed for those who remaining at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The streams usually begin about 5-10 minutes before the service begins. We stream on three separate channels:
Our Website
Our Facebook Page
Our YouTube Channel
If you are coming in-person, please invite, and bring with you, families, friends and loved ones to celebrate the Birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You can also encourage them to join us on-line. Just send them here to our website and this post so they can see all the streaming links
Merry Christmas to all!
Fr. Erich
Thanks to All
Last Wednesday, the parish had a party for me on the occasion of my 25th Anniversary of being ordained a priest. It was so much fun to have many of you here. I would especially like to thank all of you for the new holy water fonts that were dedicated for the occasion. They are gorgeous! Here is a picture of one.
Thanks to Anne Batherson
Just in time for Christmas, Anne Batherson made some lovely pew blocking cloths to help us maintain social distancing in the church. This let us dispose of the ugly ropes (although they worked!). The new cloths match our decor in the church and do not distract from the beauty within our church. Thank you Anne! Here is a picture of the new cloths.
Thanks to Nathan
And finally I have to say thank you to my son-in-law Nathan who spent 4 hours of his vacation today helping me replace half of the ceiling lights over the altar. The lights are LEDs and brighten up the space considerably. You will notice this immediately once you walk in the church or watch us online. Thanks Nathan!
