Blessing of the Animals…Rain or Shine!
Saturday, October 10 @ 10:00 a.m.
Our annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi will be held tomorrow morning, Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m.
While forecasts expect a significant amount of rain tomorrow, not to worry! We normally hold this Blessing in the Courtyard between our buildings but we can easily move to St. Timothy’s Porch or even into the church itself (we have done that before!).
We will have plenty of towels available for all of our animal friends for drying off and perhaps cleaning up any “accidents” which may occur.
This simple service helps place us in the presence of Almighty God the Creator and reminds us of the responsibility He has given us in the stewardship of His Creation.
So come one, come all, even if you do not have an animal friend to bring, as we celebrate together the wonder and joy of God’s Creation.
Blessings,
Fr. Erich
