Dearly Beloved,
Two very important events are happening this week.
First, as I mentioned in church on Sunday, our “dead” organ is being replaced this week. The installation of our replacement organ begins tomorrow morning, Thursday, and will be completed on Friday. We look forward to having the fullness of our musical accompaniment for our worship, especially as this coming Sunday is All Saints Day.
The second event, and most important of all, is Bishop Chad Jones’ visitation to our beloved parish on Sunday. We will have confirmation and reception of new members at the 11:00 a.m. Holy Communion. In honor of his visit, and also our confirmands, and in celebration of our Patronal Feast Day of All Saints, we will have breakfast between the services, beginning right about 9:30 a.m. While we are eating, Bp. Chad will speak to us about the life of our Diocese, National Church, and beyond. I encourage all of you to attend the 11:00 a.m. service to support those confirmed and received and also to hear our new organ played for the first time in worship.
I look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday. Blessings,
Fr. Erich

A Celebration of 100 Years
Our very own Ralph Bacon turns 100 years old on November 2. Ralph started attending All Saints with his daughter Debra Anthony a couple of years ago. He loves music and sings our in choir. We will recognize this monumental achievement in church on Sunday.
Ralph and his family and friends will be celebrating this milestone on November 2 with a party at Mountain Aging Partners in Laurel Park from 1:00—3:00 p.m. All are invited to come celebrate with Ralph! We’ll give you the particular address on Sunday.
Annual Stewardship Campaign
October is here and that means the vestry is doing its work to plan for next year. Of course, that means all of us are being asked to consider how we will support our wonderful parish in the coming year. Thanks to all of you who have already turned in your Stewardship Cards. The third letter in our campaign went out today. You may mail the stewardship card back to the church or just drop it in the offering plate. Please respond as soon as possible. The letters will stop once you make your commitment for next year.
Bell Tower Update
All the necessary electrical repairs were completed on Monday. Manual ringing of the bells is currently working. Now that all this has been completed, we can now focus on getting the computer program properly synced to automatically ring the bells. I hope to have that program fully functioning before Sunday.
