This is our celebration of the Holy Communion on the Fifth Sunday after Easter, commonly called Rogation Sunday. Today is also the secular Mothers’ Day and it is our custom to distribute carnations to all the ladies on this day. Today’s sermon embarks from the words in today’s Epistle, “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (St. James 1:22)
