Dearly Beloved,
Its hard to believe that Easter Day is less than two weeks away. This Lent feels like it has just flown by! It is time to make your plans for how you will observe Holy Week from Palm Sunday through the night before the great Queen of Feasts, Easter Day itself. I have included the Holy Week and Easter Schedules below, so you can see everything planned. I look forward to seeing you in church during this solemn season, and, of course, on Easter Day!
Blessings,
Fr. Erich

Parish Workday, Saturday, March 28
Our Annual Spring Clean Parish Workday is this coming Saturday. All hands are needed to spruce up the church in preparation for Holy Week and Easter. We begin with Morning Prayer at 8:00 a.m., immediately followed with breakfast. And then, let the work begin! We will be finished at 11:00 a.m. See you Saturday!
Easter Altar Flowers
Envelopes have been placed in the pews for Easter Flowers. Your gift in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving for a blessing will be noted in the Easter Day bulletin on April 5. The suggested donation is $25.00.
Easter Day Dinner
There is a sign up sheet for dishes in the entryway of the church for our Annual Parish Easter Dinner, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. worship on Easter Day. Meat will be provided.
Maundy Thursday Watch in the Garden
One of the most hallowed traditions of Holy Week is the keeping of a Watch by the Blessed Sacrament as we remember Christ’s Agony in the Garden of Gethsemane. This Watch begins directly after (about 8:30 p.m.) the Altar is stripped after the Holy Communion on Maundy Thursday evening. A sign-up sheet is available in the entryway of the church to commit yourself to one hour of “Watch time,” following our Lord’s question to Peter, “Couldest not thou watch one hour?” The Watch will last until Midnight.

Let us pray for the help and mercy of God in this time of war
O ALMIGHTY Lord, who art a most strong tower to all them that put their trust in thee: Be now and evermore our defense; grant us victory, if it be thy will; look in pity upon the wounded and the prisoners; cheer the anxious; comfort the bereaved; succor the dying; have mercy on the fallen; and hasten the time when war shall cease in all the world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
LORD God of Hosts, stretch forth, we pray thee, thine almighty arm to strengthen and protect the soldiers, sailors, and airmen of our country; Support them in the day of battle, and in the time of peace keep them safe from all evil; endue them with courage and loyalty; and grant that in all things they may serve without reproach; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
