Dearly Beloved,
It was good to be back with you yesterday after an ice storm, a snowstorm, and my travels to visit my family in Florida. It was especially fun to have a time of fellowship and food together at the pancake breakfast we feasted upon yesterday. Now it is time to focus on the Lenten season, as we journey to Jerusalem with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Ash Wednesday and Lenten schedules are below.

May He Rest in Peace
It is with a heavy heart we must report to you that our longtime Diocesan Bishop Walter Grundorf died yesterday, February 15. He retired in 2021 after serving as our bishop since 1995. He was 83.
Bp. Grundorf ordained Fr. Erich as both deacon and priest in 1995, as well as Fr. Paul (deacon, 1996; priest, 1997). He also set apart Cynthia as deaconess in 2018.
Please pray for the repose of his soul and for strength and comfort of his family.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon them. Amen.
