Our celebration of the Holy Communion for the First Sunday in Advent. St. Paul in his Epistle to the Romans writes, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” Today’s sermon considers how appropriate St. Paul’s words are for this first day of Advent.
