The Gospel lesson today, during our celebration of the Holy Communion, is Jesus’ response to the lawyer’s question, “Master, which is the great commandment in the law?” (St. Matthew 22:34-46) The sermon touches on Jesus’ words “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God.”
