Dearly Beloved,Once a year we gather as a parish family to discuss our life together and we do that at our parish’s annual meeting. We will hear reports on the various activities that have taken place over the past year and look forward into the future. There is some “business” we will take care of to order our life together such as electing vestry members and ratifying a budget for the new year. And then immediately after, we will have our parish Thanksgiving dinner, giving thanks to Almighty God for the many blessings He has showered upon us! The meeting is this Sunday, November 24, at 12:15 p.m. and lasts approximately one hour. Be certain to be here on Sunday as we celebrate our life together for the Kingdom of God. Thanksgiving DayJust as we gather on Sunday and give thanks to God for our parish church, we will also gather to celebrate the Holy Communion on Thanksgiving Day, beginning at 10 a.m. We will sing a few hymns, worship our Lord, and be on our way to Thanksgiving feasting in 45 minutes. Be sure to set aside time to be here that morning. Since Thanksgiving Day is actually about how Almighty God has blessed us in this nation, is there any better way to start the day than in church? For those who cannot make it Thursday morning, we will celebrate the Thanksgiving Day Holy Communion the day before, on Wednesday night, at our usual time of 6:00 p.m. Stations of the CrossMany of you noticed that we have brand new Stations of the Cross in the church. These new works of art vividly display what happened to our Savior Jesus Christ on Good Friday when He died for our sins, making possible our salvation. Thanks so much to Sara Briggs who did all the “leg work” to find these beautiful additions to our church and give them to us. And thanks to George Briggs for installing them last Saurday! Here are a few pictures.
There are many more announcements down below so please read on. And as we always do, let us continue to pray for one another as our Savior Christ has told us to do. Blessings,Fr. Erich

Announcements
Annual Stewardship Campaign· If you have not yet returned your commitment card, we ask that you please do so on Sunday, before the start of the Annual Meeting. There are stewardship cards and envelopes in the pews, if you left your card at home. Just fill it out and drop it in the offering plate. As you know, we are a self-supporting parish, which means we receive no outside support. It is only with all of us giving of our time, talent, and resources that the work of the Gospel here is accomplished. Again, please make your commitment now. Annual Coat Drive· The Ladies of All Saints have been collecting donations of new and gently used coats for ABCCM for the last several weeks. Sunday, December 1, will be our last Sunday collecting coats. Please bring in all donations by then so they can be taken to those in need next week.· ABCCM accepts all sizes, infant through adult, however, there is always a need for XL—XXL sizes. There is a rack in the parish hall to hang your donated items. If you have any questions, please see Sara Briggs or Sandy Peninger. Advent Lessons & Carols· On Sunday, December 1 at 5:00 p.m., the All Saints Choir will proudly present its annual Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols. This special service was started in 1918 at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England and it is a re-telling of the story of our redemption—from prophecy to fulfillment—through Holy Scripture and music. St. Nicholas Party· The St. Nicholas Party, an annual tradition here at All Saints, will immediately follow Advent Lessons & Carols. We have it on good authority that jolly old St. Nick will make an appearance again this year to fill up those shoes. Don’t miss your chance to perhaps spy on him as he goes about his work! LASSES Advent Luncheon and a Baby Shower· The Ladies of All Saints will have their Annual Advent Luncheon on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We will gather at The Cedars in downtown Hendersonville, 211 7th Ave. W. The cost is $15.00. Please sign-up on the bulletin board in the parish hall to R.S.V.P. Please give your $15.00 to Dss. Cynthia. We encourage all ladies to attend this fellowship event. And, as always, invite a friend!· We will also be having a baby shower that day for Ashley Chamberlin. What a wonderful blessing for our church to celebrate and “shower” Ashley and Jesse with our love and gifts!· Ashley and Jesse are registered at Target under Ashley Chamberlin and Jesse Chamberlin, Arden, NC. You may shop online or in-store. They are also registered at Amazon under Ashley Johnson, Arden, NC, baby due date Jan. 2020. Amazon is online shopping only. Want a link? Dss. Cynthia is happy to send you a link to these registries via email. Adult Sunday School· There will be no adult Sunday school this weekend. This class will resume on December 8. Tuesday Book Study· Our weekly Book Study has finished. This class will resume on Tuesday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m. Discussion topic will be announced next week. Wednesday Night Bible Study· Our Wednesday night Bible study will be on break this coming Wednesday, November 27. We will pick back up with the Gospel according to St. Matthew on Wednesday, December 4. Angel Tree· One again our church has adopted children from our community who are in need this holiday season. These referrals come in from Henderson County Schools to the Storehouse in Hendersonville. If you would like to help us provide gifts and needed items, the Angel Tree at the back of the church has “ornaments” which identify a child. Please pick an ornament, or two (or three even!) and go out and shop for the child on that ornament.· Important: Please return the gift unwrapped, with the ornament attached to it, to the church. The deadline for returning the gifts is Sunday, December 8.· If you would like someone to shop for you, please see Sara Briggs or Sandy Peninger. Food Bank· Bread of Life in Transylvania County is this month’s recipient of our in-gathering of food stuffs.
