The upgrading of our kitchen, in honor and memory of Edwin Blackburn, began today with the demolition of the wall between the kitchen and the parish hall. The kitchen counter will extend out into the parish hall and will be able to serve as a serving line for dinners and other events. Cabinets will be installed under this extended counter on the parish hall side of the wall. A roll down shutter will be attached over what will be a 10 ft. wide and 5 ft. high opening where the old window was located. A butler’s door will be placed in the opening where the old doorway existed. New counter tops and a new double sink will be installed. This work is expected to be finished in two to three weeks. Here are the pictures of demo day!
