Annual Parish Meeting
Sunday, November 18, 2018, at 12:15 p.m.
Our Annual Parish Meeting will be held this coming Sunday, November 18, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Holy Communion. The meeting should begin at 12:15 p.m. The parish Thanksgiving Dinner will follow at the end of the meeting. Be sure to be here Sunday as we discuss the year in review and prepare ourselves for the upcoming year.

Construction
· The roofers came today to install the roof on the bell tower, as you can see in the picture above. We will also be finishing the inside of the office addition in the next few weeks. Read the “Calling All Painters” announcement below.Thanksgiving Day· We will celebrate the Holy Communion on Thanksgiving Day, this coming Thursday, November 23, at 10:00 a.m. We will sing a few hymns, worship our Lord, and be on our way to Thanksgiving feasting in 45 minutes. Be sure to set aside time to be here that morning. Since Thanksgiving Day is actually about how Almighty God has blessed us in this nation, is there any better way to start the day than in church? For those who cannot make it Thursday morning, we will celebrate the Thanksgiving Day Holy Communion the day before, on Wednesday night, at our usual time of 6:00 p.m. Calling All Painters!· Next Saturday, November 24, beginning at 9:00 a.m., we will paint the inside of the office addition and the basement walls. We need everyone to come out and help us get this done so that we may install the floors, doors and trim. Bring your brushes and rollers. We will supply the paint and the roller covers. This should easily be a one-day job if we have about 20 folks show up. See you then! LASSES Advent Luncheon – Must RSVP by November 25· The Ladies of All Saints will have their Annual Advent Luncheon on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We will gather at The Cedars in downtown Hendersonville, 211 7th Ave. W. The cost is $15.00. If you have R.S.V.P.’d, please pay Cynthia Hensley by next Sunday, November 25. Advent Lessons & Carols· The All Saints Choir will proudly present its annual Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 9, at 5:00 p.m. This special service was started in 1918 at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England and it is a re-telling of the story of our redemption—from prophecy to fulfillment—through Holy Scripture and music.St. Nicholas Party· The St. Nicholas Party, an annual tradition here at All Saints, will immediately follow Advent Lessons & Carols. We have it on good authority that jolly old St. Nick will make an appearance again this year to fill up those shoes. Don’t miss your chance to perhaps spy on him as he goes about his work! Adult Sunday School· There will be no adult Sunday school today. Class will return on Sunday, November 25 with a four week Advent study. Tuesday Book Study· Reminder: the Tuesday Book Study will not meet this week. Wednesday Night Bible Study· Reminder: there will be no class or dinner this week. No Choir practice· There will be no choir practice this Wednesday, November 21. Food Bank· Bread of Life in Transylvania County is this month’s recipient of our in-gathering of food stuffs.
